One of the things we find with our expecting clients is that they often feel a disconnect between themselves and their bodies. With so many physiological and psychological changes happening all at once, it can be hard to reconcile the various feelings happening all at once.

What is Pregnancy Massage?

 

Remedial pregnancy massage is a type of massage that is specifically designed to accommodate the physical changes of pregnancy. Treatment involves the application of release techniques for the entire body along with deep tissue techniques where needed.

 

At Kala Body, our staff are trained in pregnancy massage and know the areas that should (and shouldn’t) be massaged. We use the side-lying position, which is the safest and most comfortable option for the lower back. We also use special healing oils for each trimester from Pregnancy Massage Australia.  

 

The benefits of remedial pregnancy massage are many. They include increased energy levels, enhanced well-being and mood, reduced muscle tension and back pain, and improved sleep.

 

When Can You Have Pregnancy Massage?
